The privately owned Lamorna Cove and pebble beach is set at the bottom of the wooded Lamorna valley between Mousehole and Porthcurno. This is a well established base for Cornwall's artists having been home to the small colony of Lamorna artists which broke away from the Newlyn school, including SJ Lamorna Birch, Laura and Harold Knight.
Jane Roose's painting is a strong, bold impression of this artistically renowned bay.
