Christine Brunnock is a St Ives artist fascinated by the interaction of the elemental and opposing forces of the Atlantic ocean and the Cornish landscape.
This is wonderfully captured in this simple but powerful artwork. In 'Resilience' the artist has used a mix of acrylic paint, netting and metal leaf; the latter to capture the fluorescence of the sea water and wet rock. If you've ever looked down from a Cornish cliff at the boiling ocean below, you'll recognise the honest expression of this work which uses the mix of media so cleverly.
